Agree on one clear outcome
Start with a result participants can show: a tested script, a simple dashboard or a working container. Keep the scope small enough for everyone to attempt the exercise and discuss the result.
Share the expected background and any pre-work with participants. Ask the trainer to identify which prerequisites are essential and which can be introduced in the session.
Check access before the day
Confirm that participants can reach the learning environment through the network and browser they will use during training. Test the required software versions, repositories and approved datasets.
If the exercise uses cloud services or a model API, agree who provides the account, how credentials are handled and what usage limits apply. A successful login alone does not show that the whole exercise will work.
Make room for questions and recovery
Plan checkpoints where the trainer can see whether participants are ready to continue. Provide a recovery path for anyone whose environment or code falls behind.
Before closing, ask learners to save their work, record unresolved questions and follow the agreed resource shutdown instructions. Make the next practice task clear while the exercise is still fresh.
